Startups and historical places make a great match! For its new premises, the incubator for innovative startups, Semia, chose the former Tobacco Factory in Strasbourg. A 20,000 m² space in the heart of the city to welcome the future leaders of French entrepreneurship.
Les Muses have envisioned the visual identity of the spaces, as well as the signage for the 4 floors! Proof that startup decoration can also be elegantly executed.
The Word Cloud: Emblematic of Startup Decoration
How did we build our visual concept?
By combining several key elements representing Semia and its core business, as well as the place and its incredible past.
We started by studying the emblematic startup decoration: the word cloud. Redesigned and reworked, it adopts colors in large wall compositions.
Industrial Past and Constructivism
How do we connect the old with the contemporary? By referencing the building’s industrial past!
150 years of tobacco production in the heart of Strasbourg. Floors filled with machines, hundreds of workers: impressive!
It seemed essential to remind of this incredible past and inscribe the spaces in a living history: their own.
Abstract gears, imaginary production lines, vibrant colors: the envisioned designs are inspired by constructivism and directly reference the industrial period when the machines of the past were in full swing.
Today, within these same walls, we imagine the machines of the future and the solutions of tomorrow. Startup decoration that’s neither bland nor clichéd!
Et la signalétique dans tout ça ?
La décoration pour startup peut aussi passer par une signalétique travaillée.
